At Mama Bond’s, we take pride in not only feeding the physical body with high-quality and
good-tasting food, but we also want to encourage young people to reach for the stars and feed
their minds! Mother Regenia Bond, in her lifetime, was all about encouraging young people to
go to school. In fact, even on the coldest days in the winter months, in Muncie, Indiana, she’d
walk one of her sons to his Head Start program. Her encouragement led him on to pursuing his
higher education. Not only did Mother Bond ensure he had a relationship with God, which
changed his life, she encouraged him to believe he could not only go to college, but that he
could complete his degrees. He listened, and he is now on the cusp of completion of his
doctoral studies.

For 2022-2023 high school graduates heading off to college, in honor of Mother Regenia Bond,
Mama Bond’s Soul Food Kitchen, Phase 2, is excited to announce the creation of the Mama
Bond’s Scholarship Fund. Our scholarship fund will select two high-performing students and
award them each a one-time gift of $1000.00 for use in their educational pursuits.
